• Replace: Tailpipe, 2009 Honda Civic, missing. We might have something suitable in spares. Don't know how they managed to knock that off considering how hardy Honda's are. Makes me wonder where the fuck they were driving.. nah, I don't really want to know. I'll just get pissed off about how they were abusing the poor thing. Those cars should last forever, and this one is almost brand new. I guess I should be glad they got something that'll stand up better to abuse than a Volkswagen.
• Replace: Passenger Seat, 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, broken. Definitely don't have this in stock. Just the catch on the side that controls the height of the seat back is broken, but the way these chairs work, I'll have t order an entire replacement. I'm kind of surprised they went for it considering the price, but whatever. More money for us, with that repair. I'd like to know what they were doing to break that, though. It'd requite repetitive stress against it. I mean, you'd have to really whack it.. fuck, someone else is taking that seat out of there. I don't want to touch it.
• Fix: Car alarm, 2006 Ford Focus, won't turn off. Guessing I'll have to tweak the wiring for this one. I don't know what went wrong, but I'm so fucking glad I don't live anywhere near the garage. It goes off every half an hour for no apparent reason, and I didn't get the chance to pull out the wiring before I had to go home today. That's what happens when you bring your car in at the last minute. I'll do this one first thing tomorrow so no one else has to put up with the sound.
That should tide me over for a bit of the morning. There were two more than I didn't get a real chance to look at, and then by the time I'm done, we should have something else. Oh, fuck, and there were the three inspections that we needed to do, Okay, so I'm booked up for tomorrow morning.
Note to self: Decide on body color for the Impala, and settle once and for all on whether to rebuild an engine similar to the one it would've had when it came off the line, or go for something more modern and with more power. On the plus side, rebuilding the older engine would be cheaper. But.. not as fast. Speed, affordability.. it's a difficult choice. I need to decide this by the end of the month.
Another note to self: Buy dog food.

THE WRENCH WENCH There's something even better than a hot girl: a hot girl all covered in dust and sweat, climbing down a ladder, asking for a Fluke tester and some UTP CAT-6 cable. This can sometimes extend to pure electronic devices, but a Wrench Wench is more likely to be found with a blowtorch and ratchet set. She will always be confident about her own work, but because she's technically an otaku she sometimes has trouble with other things( . )
